ifsa's traders' cup

about the competition

Introduced in 2017 and recurring in 2018, IFSA’s Traders’ cup is the largest student-organized trading competition in the world. In this trading competition, the teams traded various US stocks, funds and ETFs using a chosen trading platform. Every team was given $100,000 cash to trade and the team with the highest returns on the initial capital won the competition.

aim of the competition

This competition was aimed to allow participants to compete and cooperate with students from elite universities within our network, create and manage their portfolio, showcase their skills to the world and get noticed by professionals.

2018 winner

The winning team of 2018, Ilya Ivlev, from the Moscow Power Engineering institute and Financial University managed to achieve total returns of $278,187.

bcg case competition

about the competition

Introduced in 2018, the India chapter of IFSA Network, in cooperation with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and InvestSoc, organised a three-week long International Cape Town Case Competition. In this competition, teams of excellent students proposed a solution to the case relating to the housing crisis faced by the inhabitants of Cape Town in front of a select panel of distinguished professors and renowned practitioners directly in Cape Town, South Africa.

The competition was aimed to provide the participants with a valuable opportunity to create new contacts, showcase their knowledge, creativity and problem-solving skills on a current macroeconomic issue in front of renowned professionals and practically use their knowledge.
